all youth musicians (through 12th Grade) to participate in
Charleston Music Club’s
Student Composers Forum
Concert
What: an opportunity to encourage musical creativity by composing solo and/or ensemble works, be evaluated with supportive feedback, and if chosen for the forum, the composer coordinates the concert performance of their work
When: Deadline for submission of composition + a short narrative/inspiration story + video of run-through performance = FEB 23, 2025
NOTE: Limit of 3 compositions per student with each composition being a different instrumentation
Submit: attach a pdf of your composition and email the narrative/inspiration and link of You Tube Unlisted performance video (comments turned off) to:
Please include in email: your full name, best contact for you and parents, age, school, music teachers (both composition and instrumental), instruments studied, how long you have been composing, and goals for the future
